Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Hancock County, Ohio, for the Family Resource Center Carlin St. Renovation Project until 11:15AM on July 14, 2022. At 11:16AM bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and recorded thereafter.
Complete sets of bidding documents, including plans and specifications for the project will be available for examination, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the office of Hancock Regional Planning Commission, 318 Dorney Plaza, Room 304, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Copies may be obtained by request from Hancock Regional Planning Commission at 419-424-7094 or via email to lessinger@findlayohio.com
Bids must be submitted on the forms bound in the Bidding Document; must contain the names of every person or company interested therein; and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond with satisfactory corporate surety in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment bond in the amount of 100% of the bid.
Bids shall be sealed and marked as Family Resource Center Carlin St. Renovation Project and hand delivered or mailed to the Board of Hancock County Commissioners, 514 S. Main St., 2nd Floor, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment and performance bond for 100% of the contract price.
Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual opening thereof. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the County.
A prebid meeting will be held at 2:00 pm on June 22, 2022 at 1941 Carlin Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. The facility will be open for inspection at this time.
Engineer’s Estimate: $239,044.00
